Jose Interior and Decor designs, finishes and furnishes homes, apartments and commercial premises in Nairobi. The same team that draws the plan does the painting, ceilings, carpentry and installation, which is why our quotes hold and our dates are kept.
The story
The business grew from finishing work — painting, ceilings and carpentry — into full interior design because clients kept asking the same question at the end of a job: “Can you also do the rest?” Today the answer is yes, from the first measured drawing to the last cushion.
We stay a hands-on team. The people who measure your rooms are the people who paint, hang, fit and install in them, which keeps the quote honest and the finish accountable.
How we approach a project
- Measure first. Nothing is specified until the room has been measured and photographed. Furniture is checked against door widths and lift sizes.
- Itemise everything. Quotes list materials by brand and quantity, labour by trade and day, and a programme with dates. Changes are priced in writing before they happen.
- Prepare properly. Walls are skimmed before dark colours, floors levelled before planks, and ceilings framed to a level line. Preparation is where quality is decided.
- Show progress. Weekly photos on WhatsApp for every project, and video walkthroughs for clients who cannot visit.
- Hand over clean. A snagging walk with you, a cleaned space, and a twelve-month workmanship warranty.

Lead designer and owner
Leads every project from the first site visit to hand-over, drawing the layouts and signing off the finishes.

Site supervisor
Coordinates painters, carpenters and installers on every project and sends the weekly progress photos.
Behind them is a regular crew of painters, gypsum installers, carpenters, tilers, a plumber and a licensed electrician who have worked together across our projects.
